Tourism

South Greenland offers a wide range of attractions. Feel the presence of history by retracing the adventures of Eric the Red, who was the first European to set foot on land here and gave the island its name. Throughout South Greenland you will find Norse ruins, the most famous ones being the farmstead of Brattahlid and the church at Hvalsey.

The area is rich in outdoor experiences, whether you've come to tackle challenging rugged peaks, go backpacking, sail among icebergs, or use our vast wilderness for hunting and fishing.

You can discover the beautiful towns of Qaqortoq, Narsaq and Nanortalik and visit our many charming settlements.

South Greenland has it all - and we take great pleasure in welcoming you here!
